This week on Living it Loud: Jack Pelon of Lakewood, Colorado is retired from a 52 year career in Denver radio. He started his radio career at KLIR and KRKS Radio in Denver in 1969. After managing KRKS for several years he then managed KWBI radio with Colorado Christian University. After KWBI was sold to K love he became general manager of KPOF radio in Denver until he retired in 2022. During his career, Jack was active with the National Religious Broadcasters and was chairman of the western chapter of NRB for several years, earning the milestone award from the NRB for his service.
Jack is a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in Vietnam in the late 60s and received a bronze star for his service.
In his retirement, Jack enjoys spending time with his wife of 54 years Beth and their daughter Elisabeth, who lives in Alaska with her family. He enjoys an occasional remodeling project around the house as well as fishing in the Leadville area of Colorado and taking pictures of the beautiful outdoors that God has blessed us with. Jack is grateful for the many blessings God has given him through his full life.
