This week on LIVING IT LOUD: Joe and Marla Truitt are the founders of Best Day Ministries, a faith-driven ministry dedicated to
creating belonging, purpose, and opportunity for people of all abilities.
Inspired by their son Seth, who has Down syndrome, Joe and Marla began building spaces where
individuals with diverse abilities are celebrated for their gifts. Their work includes Joy House, a nonprofit
marketplace for artisans with special needs, Best Day Ever Coffee and Crepes, a community café that
provides meaningful employment for adults with disabilities, and Best Church Ever, a welcoming space
where people of all abilities can experience faith, community, and belonging.
Through Best Day Ministries, Joe and Marla are expanding their vision to create inclusive communities,
launch national artisan marketplaces, and develop spaces where faith, creativity, and opportunity come
together.
Joe’s gift of hospitality and Marla’s visionary leadership continue to inspire a growing movement
centered on one simple belief: everyone deserves the chance to experience their best day ever.
